Best Beaches in Cabo San Lucas
1. Lover's Beach
You don't have to be in love to appreciate Lover's Beach in the Los Cabos Corridor in Baja California Sur. You do, however, have to be committed to the idea of arranging transport to get you to this idyllic little spot in the Sea of Cortez.
If you're not a fan of snorkeling, this can work in your favor: Glass-bottomed water taxis not only get you where you're going, they also allow great views of underwater life without the need to strip down to your suit.
Big on Beauty, Small on AmenitiesThe most distinguishing feature of Lover's Beach is the group of massive rock formations that serve as a dramatic backdrop to the expanse of golden sand. Neptune's Finger is the most notable of these, so bring your camera along to get a few shots.
There's plenty of open sand here, but no amenities, so pack a picnic or bring a light lunch (and some water). And be prepared for the total lack of shade here.
Nearby AttractionsIf you've got a few extra minutes, head to nearby Divorce Beach, a more secluded spot with much stronger waves that are great for gazing upon, but not for swimming or snorkeling.
Tour operators can get you to famed "El Arco," the stunning three-story arch that has come to represent Cabo San Lucas in travel photography.
Afterward, check out the dining and nightlife in Cabo, home of the famous, tequila-slinging Cabo Wabo bar founded by rock musician Sammy Hagar.
